Mid-Session Break – Lost Girl

Apologies for the late notice, but even though it’s the break, SpockSoc is still on. This week, we’re showing the second half of Lost Girl season one – we showed the first half back in the first session sometime. As usual, we’re in ChemSci M18, starting at 5pm.

In other news, the Annual SpockSoc Trivia Night is coming up surprisingly soon, in week ten – that’s just three weeks from this Friday. So brush up on your trivia and start looking for accomplices you can bring with you to answer more questions.

Hope to see you there

Week 7: Haven

This week we’ll be showing the beginning of season two of Havena Stephen King inspired show about a little town called, well Haven believe it or not. It’s starts off sleepy before getting progressively weirder. As all good Stephen King inspired shows do.
We’ll be starting at 5PM in ChemSci M18 as usual, with a dinner run around 6, hope you all have a good week until then,

Week 6: Warehouse 13

This week we’ll be showing the beginning of season 3 of Warehouse 13. What if the warehouse at the end of Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark had a whole series based on it – the result would be Warehouse 13.
We’ll be starting at 5PM, in M18 of the Chemical Engineering building (F10 on the campus map), with a dinner run around 6PM.

Movie: Cowboys and Aliens

To finish off SpockSoc’s movie madness month, this week we’re going to see Cowboys and Aliens at the Randwick Ritz on Tuesday (the 23rd). We’ll meet up outside Cinema 1 at 6:50pm. For those interested, we’ll go somewhere nearby for dinner afterwards.

Week 5: Sanctuary

This week we’ll be showing the rest of season 3 of Sanctuary, the show where locking dangerous creatures up in the name of keeping everyone safe never seems like a bad idea, no matter how many times as season it causes problems. But I digress…

We’ll be in the Chemical Engineering building, M18 as always; with a 5PM start and 6PM dinner run. Hope to see you there, have a good week!

Week 4: Eureka

This week we’ll be continuing with Eureka, we’ll be starting at 5Pm in M18 of the Chemical Sciences Building, with a dinner break around 6.

As I mentioned yesterday, we’re also planning to go see Rise of the Planet of the Apes at the Randwick Ritz at 7PM tomorrow (Tuesday) so here’s the reminder

Week 3: No Ordinary Family

This week we’ll be showing the last few episodes of No Ordinary Family the story of the family turned super-heros who have a whole lot of trouble with the heroics. We’ll be showing the episodes in the Chem Eng building in M18, which is round the back of the building. It’s on F10 on the map. We’ll start at 5PM, with dinner around 6.
I’m also going to remind everyone that we’re going to be going to see Captain America at the Randwick Ritz tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6:45PM,  hope to see you there,

Week 2: Game of Thrones

This week we’ll be showing as much of the first season of Game of Thrones as we can get through; based on the first book in the fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire, the TV show is full of intrigue, sex, violence, political machinations and sex and violence. It’s just started showing in Australia, and has been well received in the USA and the UK. As usual we’ll be starting at 5, with pizza around 6. This week, and all the rest we’ll be in the Chemical Sciences building, room M18. It’s building F10 on any campus map, and M18 is outside the main entrance of the building, which is on the side facing away from the main runway. We’ll have the banner hanging in the windows, for you to look out for.

Week 1: Mystery Unverse

Location Update: We will be in ChemSci M18, same as last screening of last session.
I hope you’ve had a good break – no working just having fun. I know I did!
This week we’ll be showing the last seven episodes of Mystery Unverse, but we still need to confirm a location for the screening. We’re looking at Rex Vowel and another email will be sent out closer to Friday when we have a room set in stone. In any event, we’ll start at 5PM, and if we’re not at Rex Vowels and you haven’t received an email in time, signs will be up to point the way to the new location,
happy start of term!
